After the Comics Journal's 100 Comics of the Century list, many fans said that they could foresee Wizard Magazine putting out its own top 100 Comics list now. Little did we know that Wizard has already put out such a list.

They've put together a list of influential and thought- provoking comics that have made the comics medium into what it is today. We hope that this list will encourage readers to broaden their perspectives and maybe buy a few more comics each week.

100. WATCHMEN 1
It turns out that after all the hype this dog isn't worth much at all. Oh well, the story is okay, if you are into that sort of thing.

99. WHIZ-BANG 1 (or Gosh-wow or Gee-whiz - something like that)
We've never read it, but if you have it you can sell it for new WITCHBLADE comics!

98. SUPERMAN 1
Even though it's a #1 it's not where Superman first appeared.

97. BATMAN 1
Ditto.

96. CAPTAIN AMERICA 1
Cap appears with the Waid triangular shield and fights a weird terrorist group called NAZIs. Really old.

95. DETECTIVE COMICS 27 (we think)
Waaay before the movies' and hot selling series' Batman first appeared. The art looks really bad. Luckily it got better.

94. ACTION COMICS 1
Yeah, we know its old, and old stuff is lame, but this is the book that showed everyone how valuable comics could be. Get your hands on this and you can buy yourself boxes of the latest #1's!!!!!

93. FANTASTIC FOUR 1.
Later on, this book would get good people on it. But this *is* a number one.
