CASTING NEWS ON NEW SPIDER-MAN PICTURE!!!!
Well, film fanz, we've waited for this one for a long long long-ass time! Now it's finally gonna pay off! Jimmy Cameron is on Spidey like a fly on dog crap, and he's leaked some casting info to a trusted confidant...who's betraying his trust to us! We have several conflicting reports here, from various sources...let's get to the scoopz...

Call me Quasimodo, Harry. I've gotten some sweet insider info on the Spider-Man film that James Cameron is putting together--namely, a jotted-down cast list from a cocktail napkin at a recent party to celebrate the release of Titanic on video! Here's what it says...

Peter Parker/Spiderman=Leonardo DiCaprio
Betty Brant=Marg Helgenberg
J. Jonah Jameson=Dabney Coleman
Uncle Ben=Stan Lee [Harry here--whatta KEWL cameo!]
Aunt May=Gloria Stuart

and the big one, Harry:

AL PACINO AS NORMAN OSBORNE/GREEN GOBLIN!!!!

Boy oh boy oh boy does that sound kewl or what! Here's another report; I dunno who 2 believe here, but both sound kewl...judge 4 yerself...

I was talking to Jimmy Cameron at the restaurant where I work--he came in to eat and we chatted about films. He was VERY cool, Harry; nothing like you'd think. Even autographed a copy of Titanic he had in his bag and gave it to me! Anyway, radical changes afoot for the Spidey project...they're thinking trilogy, with the first film just focusing on Peter Parker and his change. Here's the big news, though:

1) Casting call (definite lock here, Harry--trust me on this): Charlton Heston as Uncle Ben!!

2) Radical plot point change: instead of the robber killing Uncle Ben, Ben's gonna kill the robber with a gun he carries. He then becomes a fugitive, and Peter has to decide whether or not to use his new powers to bring the man who raised him to justice! Sorta like "The Fugitive" meets "Devilís Own" with some "Apt Pupil" and "Planet of the Apes" thrown in. Believe it or not, Harry...by the way, love the site...

Indeed it does! I dunno who to believe here...but they all sound good! Hmmm....radical reworking of spidey's origin there...dunno if that would be wise, but hell, it might be kewl. Very tense drama.
