DANNY GLOVER TO PORTRAY IKE TURNER!!
Everyone loved Angela Bassett in the tragic tale of Tina Turner that was "What's Love Got to Do with it?" But everyone has also wondered what was the other side of the story. Every story has two sides to it, dont you know. So now Ike Turner has sold the rights to his life to Touchstone Pictures, and it looks like a kewl project. Here's the scoop:

Harry--word reached me this morning that the ink is drying on an Ike Turner biopic to be directed by Betty Thomas and to star Danny Glover as Ike. Ike himself is collaboarating on teh script. It's a very sad tale about a man who gets so addicted to drugs that his only option is to brutally torture and abuse one of the most gifted modern pop singers. Slotted for a fall 1999 rlease to capitalize on teh possible Oscar buzz. The kicker: that girl who played lisa on Saved by the Bell will play Tina Turner! What gives? Bring Basset back! And call me Dr. Worm...
