Randall here. Wind has blown through the Paramount studios that execs are raving about a new script revising the classic Andy Griffith show, written by Sam Hamm (the first Batman movie). They’re loving it to bits. In it, everyone has died except Barney Fife, who’s a lock to be played by Russell Crowe--the guy had a hand in the script, and he wants to produce on the project as well. It's set in an apocalyptic future, where drugs have been discovered that prolong life, but they’ve only worked on a small percentage of the populace. It worked for Barney--he's 276 years old, but all his friends are dead. Deep dark psychological stuff. Can’t reveal more, except a possible cameo by Norman Fell as Mr. Roper--Three’s Company geeks, prepare!
