This morning on the radio, I chose the new Phil Collins song, "You'll Be In My Heart," over a classic smokin' Al Green track, "Let's Stay Together."
I have my guilty pleasures--who doesn't?--but Phil Collins is a far stretch for anyone. Plus, it's a song from a Disney movie, which is always a bad sign. This tiny choice is a scar that I'll probably carry with me to my grave, and thanks to the glories of the internet, I can now share it with everyone I know. Guilty pleasures are one thing...grand aberrations against the Pop Music Gods are another entirely. I kneel now before them in abject sorrow and regret.
