ORLANDO, FL--A sad blow was struck to my family yesterday: Herve Villachez's boots are no longer for sale at the Disney-MGM Studios.
Ninety bucks were all they were charging last time we were here for an actual pair of boots worn by the diminutive actor known as Tattoo on Fantasy Island (the original, not the pale nineties remake). We always thought it would be funny to open a theme restaurant built around the boots, like with the boots in some kind of glass case or something, like a Tattoo shrine. And maybe all the decor could be built around "little people" or something, and the walls could be covered with memoribilia from Villachez's long showbiz career.
But the boots are gone. Who's the lucky new owner? And more importantly, isn't the owner of Herve Villachez's boots a guy you just gotta meet?
