999 Foster Street - Stephen Craig

As you've read in our exclusive interview series leading up to the premiere of 999 Foster Street next Monday, none of the four roommates who star in the prose soap opera have been easy to interview. From the start, we expected the most cagey interviewee to be Stephen Craig, and that proved to be far from the truth.

As editor-in-chief of Northsouthern's school paper, the Sentinel, Craig does plenty of his own interviewing, which must have made him especially relaxed and forthcoming for his turn in the "hot seat." We very much appreciated his candor and we know you'll come to enjoy his ongoing exploits in 999 Foster Street.

Stephen, we really appreciate your time.

It's no problem at all. Anything I can do to help promote the series, I'm happy to do.

How did you come to be involved in 999 Foster Street?

To be honest, I don't remember.

Really? That's interesting.

Yeah, it's funny. I don't really remember much of anything before that party in the first episode. It's like I never existed or something.

Weird. Was it fun?

Yeah, it's been really fun so far, but then I don't have much to compare it to, ya know?

Right. Tell us more about your roommates.

Well, Ricky's my most famous roommate. He's very successful in college football, and he's also a moron. Dave's kinda geeky but nice, and Alexis...she's Alexis.

I noticed you hesitated with that name. Let's level here, man to man: you got the hots for her?

Man, I shouldn't be saying this, but I totally do. She's amazing in every way. She's so smart and funny, and she's beautiful. It's hard, because I'm the editor of this school paper and I shouldn't be falling for one of the most important people I have to cover, but I can't help myself.

Just like that song. "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch..."

"I love you and nobody else..."

Right. What about Dean Daniels? What can you tell us about him?

He's okay, I guess. He's a bit of a sleaze. I shouldn't say that probably, but I'm trying to be as casual and real as I can. I hate interviews where the person sounds totally fake.

Me too. Even if they are.

What's that?

Nothing. Hey, we really are amazed at how warm and outgoing you are.

Why's that?

To be honest, your other roommates were a lot more prickly than you were. They were tough interviews.

Really? That's too bad. I guess I'm not surprised. They are colorful characters.

They're characters, that's for sure.

They certainly are.

Well, listen, Steve. We really appreciate it, and we can't wait to see what happens at 999 Foster Street.

To be honest, neither can I. In many ways, I'm as in the dark as you are.

You sure are, Stephen.

What?

Nothing. Thanks again.

My pleasure!
